| Customer Reviews: Great Travel Bag! June 26, 2010 kathyro (phoenix, az usa) Used this on a 3-week trip to/in UK. SO-O-O flexible -- both for airline traveling (tickets, boarding passes, passports), and for sight-seeing! Lots of compartments so you're not fishing around for things. I loved it! It was big enough to carry the necessities, plus I could fit my larger-than-average camera in it. It carried more than other bags I've used, but it's so cleverly designed it was slimmer than the other bags. Barely noticed it even when walking miles around London. Strap can adjust to ride higher or lower as your prefer. Didn't have any problems with strap adjustment - set it and forget it!
Nice features, little bit awkward design June 13, 2010 K. Marshall Overall, I like this bag. I replaced an llbean touring healthy back bag (teardrop shape) which was worn out after years of use. I didn't buy another llbean because I was tired of the bag slipping off of my shoulder (very irritating).
PROS of Uptown Bag:
Looks great on outside, pretty blue on inside, light-weight
Feels comfortable when worn across body or on shoulder; stays in place
Two handy tethers snap-hooked to purse interior for change purse (incl) and maybe keys
Change purse has clear ID pocket on side; I use it as my wallet, now
Convenient cell phone pocket on outside
CONS of Uptown Bag:
Awkward to zip open and closed; have to grasp with one hand and zip with other
Does not hold as much as my old purse of similar size; an llbean touring healthy back bag (reg)
Can't machine wash this bag?? I used to throw my polyester llbean bag in the washing machine whether I should have or not (it lasted for 4 years in good shape)
Big enough for the IPAD but not too big that it is uncomfortable May 28, 2010 reviewer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this bag--I have it in red and purple (purple discontinued). It is durable and good looking--and, the main reason i got it--it holds the stuff i need plus my IPAD. It is exactly what i was looking for!!
The only downside is that the adjustable strap sometimes gets tangled or adjusts itself. I think a clip/barrette might fix this but i haven't tried it yet.
The front pocket holds more than i thought it would based on the picture and the description--Which is perfect for my needs. I almost didn't purchase this because i thought the pocket was too small. I'm glad I gave it a try.
Great Work Bag May 7, 2010 Julia Burke (San Antonio, Texas) I was ready to ditch my Buxton bag-it would never stay closed all the way, and I had already had a horrible ordeal with my work keys falling out. Everything is safe and secure with this bag- worth the money, due to its shape I am extra careful when zipping and unzipping. I love how I have room to keep my Daybook inside it, and nothing is falling out.
Best bag ever! March 22, 2010 N. Virgil (Chicago, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This bag is more than I had hoped for. After looking and looking in department stores, discount store, high-end, low-end, and all over the Internet - I came across Baggallini bags. I bought two of these Uptown baggs. One for spring/summer (khaki) & another for winter (black.)
The compartments are fantastic. They are plentiful & well-placed.
I have one negative comment. The khaki bag is black on the inside, which makes it a little harder to see what's in there. The other bags have lighter colored fabric on the interior which makes seeing into the bag significantly easier.
This bag gets a strong recommendation from me.
