| Customer Reviews: Can't beat CamelBak December 8, 2009 Danno119 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Product came in perfect condition, shipping was fast and hassle free. Xtra storage is helpful with wallets and keys. Waist belt is nice, prevents movement when running. Would recommend purchasing an insulated tube if used in hot weather.
Very good November 24, 2009 C. G. Talley (Lancaster, CA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good product, lots of pockets and clips, straps and belts. Very well though out and designed. The only reason I purchased this item at Amazon rather than the other websites that advertised it, is because of the many pictures of the displayed product: especially the image showing a person wearing it. This helped me get an idea of its approximate size. All the other websites I viewed that sold it only displayed the product by itself. This didn't help me in getting a visual understanding of the size of this thing. Just one more reason why Amazon gets about 90% of my esales.
Very nice for mountain biking November 15, 2009 R. Sherman (New England USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted to get a unit which was sculpted for mountain biking. The pack I wanted was for a 2 to 4 hour ride capacity. There is just enough storage for your keys, cell phone, wallet and maybe a snack. The 100 oz of water is the best choice in my opinion. You can always fill it less if you are worried about weight.
This unit is ideal for my needs. Some other units such as my wife's has a lot more space for a windbreaker or whatever. Those units should be used for hiking or extended rides. If you want to keep your pack light so you do not get a lot of weight shifting during manuvers than this is the one. The straps are verycomfortable and the orange color I selected may help you from being shot by a hunter.
Comfortable but no carrying capacity September 14, 2009 M. Hilton (Seattle) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If all you want to carry are fluids and a pocket knife plus maybe your wallet, this backpack is great. It is super comfortable, very ergonomic, and does not have a single spot that seems to rub you until your raw. I forgot I had it on during most of a 10 mile steep mountain climb. However, before leaving, I found myself wishing a had just a little extra room for carrying a few more items. I had to make choices like whether to carry my GPS or some extra food, my wallet or my flashlight, etc. Very good design however for the basic function it is intended to provide: hydration.
Used on MS 150 July 14, 2009 Naomi M. Sundalius (Arlington, MN) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used this on the MS 150 from Duluth, MN to the Twin Cities, MN and it work very nicely. Stops were typically 10-15 miles and I refilled the bladder pack every other stop. It did not cause too much excessive sweating due to excess heat and definitely helped to keep me hydrated.
The excess storage pockets were great for my arm warmers, camera, ID, etc.
I am happy I had it on the ride and plan on using it again next year.
