| Customer Reviews: great bag for the money April 23, 2010 Jared Green (Lynnville, IN) The bag worked great. We had one adult and two kid's pairs of skis on the way out to Utah and on the way back i put three kid's and one adult's pair of skis plus a pair of adult snow boots in the bag. The one thing you have to watch is not to go over the weight limit of 50lbs.
Maybe too spacious April 22, 2010 scudco I bought this for a friend so I only flew it one way. This bag is quite large and quite awkward if your board isn't the full length. Aside from that, it's pretty spacious. I had two pairs of boots, two helmets, bindings, two boards, along with a few clothing items. If I weren't carrying stuff for two people, this bag would have been flopping around half full.
Snowboard plus a week's worth of clothes April 4, 2010 J. Hartford (Los Angeles, CA) Nobody likes paying the airlines for that first bag; and I'm sure not going to fork over another $35 for a second bag!
Tip #1
So I fit my 160cm snowboard and a week's worth of clothes into this snowboard bag. The handles work well and wheels allowed me to get it through the airport with no help. Interior straps keep the board in place. There wasn't a scratch on it when I picked it up after the flight. (except, of course, for the ones I've caused on the mountain)
Tip #2
A "boot bag" doesn't count as an extra bag if it accompanies a ski / snowboard bag. But I've heard of people having trouble convincing the check-in people that their bag is a "legit" boot bag. (as opposed to a duffel bag, idk this rule is stupid) So I took some duct tape and a sharpie and clearly labeled by duffel bag "boot bag".
And that's how $25 (for the first bag) got me, my board, my boots, and a week's worth of clothing across the county.
One great bag for skis and clothes February 26, 2010 David Bentley (Little Rock, AR USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
With airlines charging higher fees for additional checked bags, this one bag serves double-duty for your skis & poles, as well as clothes and helmet. At 180cm in length, it's plenty long for my skis, and plenty thick and wide to stuff all the clothes I need for a week-long ski trip. I carry my boots in my carry-on, but if you have shorter skis and smaller feet you may be able to pack your boots in there too. I've made 2 ski trips so far (that's 4 airline counter check-in's) and there's never been a problem. It's already paid for itself since I only get charged for one checked bag. It seems to be very sturdy, and the wheels make it easy to roll through the terminals.
